Sarah Davidson-Gurney is an accomplished violinist and music teacher with a Masters degree in Violin Performance.
Sarah completed her Bachelor's degree from the University of Toronto, also majoring in Violin Performance. Having played violin since the age of three and piano since the age of five, Sarah’s achievements include recording an album at the age of thirteen, attending the prestigious Chautauqua Music Festival in New York four times on full scholarship and winning York University’s concerto competition.
Sarah was the concertmaster of the York University Symphony from September 2009 to May 2011. Playing the violin, she also won an Arts scholarship worth $7,500 by virtue of winning the talent portion at the 2010 Miss World Canada Beauty Pageant. At the age of sixteen, she was featured as the new young artist at the Brantford Sanderson Centre for Performing Arts as a Violinist in a Solo Concert.
In 2005 Sarah received her ARCT diploma in Violin performance, and has reached Grade 8 Piano at the Royal Conservatory of Music. Sarah has been teaching regularly for the past eighteen years. During the eight-year existence of the Koffler Chamber Orchestra, Sarah was a first violinist, and she also performed multiple times as a soloist. She was the principal second violinist in the Kindred Spirits Orchestra from 2012-2013.

Sarah currently performs with various orchestras across Ontario. In addition to classical music, Sarah is renowned for her work with the electric violin. She has performed electric violin professionally for nearly a decade, in front of large audiences at various parties and gala events. Sarah was the featured violinist on the studio album Gala International and has performed on numerous tracks for artists in many genres of music.
She has performed at multiple venues around the world, including the Ritz-Carlton, the Shangri-La, and the Four Seasons hotels as well as the AGO, the ROM, the Gardiner Museum, the TIFF Bell lightbox, the Liberty Grande, and Muzik nightclub. Sarah's corporate clients include such companies as Rolex, Royal de Versailles, MAC Cosmetics, Givenchy Parfums, BMO, TD Canada Trust, Microsoft and Cadillac.
Sarah is also very comfortable on the big stage. For example, she has opened concerts for established artists such as Gwen Stefani, Usher, and Jann Arden. Sarah recently recorded her third music video with violinist Rob Landes, in which they performed their own original selection entitled "Beyond the dark". She regularly performs around the world as a solo artist, as well as the leader and founder of her electric quartet “Four Strings."
